The Food and Drug Administration asked consumers to avoid eating all products containing pistachios as health authorities investigate a California processing plant that shipped about one million pounds of the nuts possibly contaminated with salmonella. Authorities said no illnesses have been reported to date, but they are taking precautions until they can confirm if the shipments are tainted.
